Concept: Supporting local skaters
Scheme: dividing the space in sets of three length ways and width ways with implications that 2 quarter pipes were existing features of a previous skate park, the store element of a curved U shaped plane has quietly sat itself around the quarter pipes by cutting away a shelf to allow for the coexistence of the two elements in the space. The final feature which brings the whole scheme to life is the 3 blue stripes that run through the centre of the space, while in the exterior skate ramps they curl and twist with vitality and then become very regimented once they run through the interior shop to signify the famous adidas strips.
